Quality early childhood training

Training that makes you stand out from the crowd

At Early Childhood Training (ECT), we build relationships with our students because we genuinely want you to succeed. If you feel comfortable with us, you’ll feel comfortable asking for the support you need to complete your studies.

Our promise to you – and your employers – is that when you graduate, you’ll have the qualifications and practical skills to excel in any childcare environment.

It’s what makes you, and us stand out from the crowd.

Sam Rosenberg and Megan Sharman lead the team at ECT. Together, they have more than 40 years of combined strategic, practical and operational childcare industry experience.

There’s nothing Sam and Megan don’t know about Victoria’s childcare services sector or the qualifications you need – just ask…

Why better standards of training = better standards of care

When Megan observed a lack of RTOs offering a high standard of training for childcare workers, she and Sam believed there was a better way. They saw an opportunity to offer relationship-based training, that would provide:

  • Better care and education for children attending childcare centres

  • A higher quality of trained childcare workers across Victoria’s childcare sector

  • More capable childcare workers, needing less hands-on management by centre leaders

  • Reputational growth leading to business growth for centre owners

  • More career opportunities for well-trained childcare workers

They began delivering children’s services training on behalf of Bendigo TAFE. In 2014, they started their own RTO and offered training directly to students as CMS – before rebranding to Early Childhood Training (ECT) in 2019.

Today, both ECT’s student retention rate and pass rate exceed industry standards. Our reputation as a high-quality trainer is established and our graduates are confident, capable childcare workers.
